I became interested in my family history during junior high school (more than 25 years ago) when I realized that I could not name all of my great-grandparents. After dabbling in family history for a couple of years, I bought a copy of “Building An American Pedigree” by Norman Wright and was hooked for a lifetime.
I wanted to be a part of the Pine County Genealogical Society because some members of my family moved to the Denham area of Birch Creek Township in Pine County in about 1895 and lived in the area for many years.
Local family names of interest: Cegla, Michalski, Novak, Swarmer, Walczynski, Wlasny, Zydek.
Other local family names of interest: Broten, Glassner, Gresczyk, Kozlowski, LaChance, Molis, Nielsen, Pietrzak, Postal, Priem, Shoenrock
I also have an interest in the general history of Denham/Birch Creek Township.
