Stepping Stone - Pine County Genealogical Society

Story of the "Stepping Stone"

Back in the early 1900's there were teams of horses
carrying passengers around in the Pine County Area.

Some of the people, especially children, had to
step on a stone to get into the carriage.

The story has been told that the above "stepping stone"
was used for that purpose.
This stone is still in the front yard of a home
in Pine City.
